**Role & responsibilities** Key Responsibilities Handling High court and Tribunal Appeals including drafting submissions Handling Income Tax assessment and scrutiny proceedings. Drafting and preparing responses to Income Tax notices and queries. Assisting in preparation of appeals, submissions, statements of facts, and grounds of appeal. Preparing detailed written submissions and case-related documentation. Conducting research on the Income Tax Act, Rules, Circulars, Notifications, and judicial precedents. Assisting senior professionals in tax litigation and representation matters. Preparing case briefs, issue-wise legal research, and supporting documents. Reviewing assessment orders and identifying grounds for further appeal. Coordinating with clients to collect information and supporting documents. Maintaining proper records of ongoing assessment, appeal, and litigation matters. Assisting in matters before Assessing Officers, CIT(A), ITAT, and other relevant authorities/forums, as applicable. Tracking hearing dates, submission deadlines, and status of litigation matters. Keeping updated with changes in tax laws, regulations, and important judicial decisions. **Preferred candidate profile** 1. Qualified Chartered Accountant
