**Job Description** We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented **Taxation Executive / Tax Associate** to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for handling direct and indirect tax compliance, income-tax assessments, appeals, and related documentation while supporting tax advisory and research assignments. **Key Roles & Responsibilities** - Assist in handling scrutiny assessments and faceless income-tax assessments & appeals. - Draft, review, and prepare responses to notices issued under the Income-tax Act. - Prepare and file Income Tax Returns, TDS Returns, and other related tax compliances. - Reconcile Form 26AS, AIS and TIS with books of accounts and financial records. - Assist in appeals, rectifications, submissions, and tax-related documentation. - Conduct basic income-tax research and assist in tax advisory assignments. - Coordinate with clients/internal teams for collection and verification of tax-related information and documents. - Maintain proper records of assessments, notices, submissions, and compliance deadlines. - Keep updated with changes in Income-tax laws, rules, notifications, circulars, and applicable compliance requirements. **Desired Candidate Profile** - Qualification: CA / CA Inter / CMA / CS / M.Com / B.Com or equivalent. - Relevant experience in Income Tax, TDS, assessments, appeals, and tax compliance will be preferred. - Good understanding of the Income-tax Act and tax compliance procedures. - Strong drafting, analytical, reconciliation, and documentation skills. - Working knowledge of MS Excel and income-tax/TDS portals. - Good communication and client-handling skills. - Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet compliance deadlines. - Location: Chennai Interested candidates please send your cv to ambika.m@refex.co.in or whatsapp to 9600177575
