Equity Research Analyst

Location: Bangalore, IndiaAbout The RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated Equity Research Analyst to join our research team in India. This team would support Senior Portfolio Managers (SPMs) and investment teams globally by providing high-quality research and analytical support across sectors and markets.In this role, you will work closely with global investment teams on financial modeling, forecasting, company and industry research, earnings analysis, database maintenance, thematic work, and idea generation. You will also use internal AI and research tools to improve efficiency, automate repeatable workflows, and enhance the quality and timeliness of research output.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, maintain, and update detailed financial models, forecasts, and valuation frameworksAnalyze quarterly results, company disclosures, earnings transcripts, management commentary, and key operating driversConduct fundamental company and industry research to support investment analysis and idea generationMonitor news flow, industry developments, market trends, and regulatory changes relevant to covered companies and sectorsMaintain and update internal databases, comparable company trackers, and recurring research materialsSupport thematic analysis, sector work, cross-company comparisons, and screening exercisesPrepare materials ahead of earnings, company meetings, industry events, and other key catalystsPartner closely with global investment teams to deliver timely, accurate, and decision-useful research supportHelp improve research processes by identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, and workflow enhancementAI and Research ToolsLeverage internal AI and research tools to drive efficiency across research workflowsUse approved tools to support tasks such as news tracking, transcript summarization, document synthesis, data extraction, and research preparationHelp automate repetitive, manual tasks while ensuring that analyst judgment, validation, and accountability remain central to final outputsContribute to the adoption of AI-enabled workflows and best practices within the research teamQualifications7+ years of experience in equity research experience - buy side or sell side is requiredStrong capabilities in financial modeling, valuation, and fundamental analysisFamiliarity with tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, Visible Alpha, and other databasesExposure to data, automation, or AI-enabled research workflows Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage multiple prioritiesAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentHigh level of ownership, professionalism, and intellectual curiosityPreferred QualificationsStrong academic record; CFA or progress toward CFA is a plus
