Manager – ControllershipCompany Cleartrip Location BangaloreFunction Finance – Controllership Reports to Senior Manager – ControllershipExperience 2–4 years post-qualification QualificationChartered Accountant (CA),mandatoryAbout the RoleYou will own the Controllership function's monthly close, accounting accuracy, compliance, and auditreadiness. You will lead a small team and work closely with Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Business leaders.Key Responsibilities• Own the monthly, quarter-end, and year-end close; deliver on timelines and quality• Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and prepaid adjustments prepared by the team• Drive balance sheet reconciliations (bank, vendor, customer, intercompany, wallet/payment gateway) andclear ageing items• Review financial statements and MIS reports; explain key variances to leadership• Lead statutory, internal, and tax audits: manage schedules, auditor queries, and closure of findings• Ensure compliance with Ind AS, GST, TDS, and the Companies Act• Own revenue accounting and reconciliation for travel bookings (air, hotel, etc.)• Set and strengthen internal controls (IFC/ICFR); flag and fix process gaps• Partner with Tax, AP, AR, FP&A, and Business Finance to resolve complex accounting issues• Evaluate accounting treatment for new products, contracts, and business models• Lead process improvement and automation projects• Mentor and review the work of Senior Executives and ExecutivesRequirementsArea RequirementQualification CA (mandatory)Experience 2–4 years post-qualification in Controllership, Financial Reporting, or AuditTechnical Strong knowledge of Ind AS, GST, TDS, and the Companies ActTools Advanced Excel; ERP exposure (SAP/Oracle)Skills• Strong attention to detail and accuracy• Analytical and problem-solving mindset• Clear communication and stakeholder management• Ability to manage deadlines and priorities during closing cycles• Team leadership: reviewing, coaching, and delegating• Ownership and a drive to improve processesGood to Have• Experience in a Big 4 or mid-size firm, or an industry Controllership role• Exposure to travel, e-commerce, or fintech• Working knowledge of Power BI, SQL, or macros• Experience with audit management and finance automationWhat We Offer• Ownership of the close, reconciliation, and reporting for a high-volume travel platform• Visibility with Finance leadership• Opportunity to build and lead a team• Clear growth path in Controllership
