Accountant

Position Overview: We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accountant to manage key accounting functions and ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency. The role includes handling accounting operations, financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, audit support, and contributing to strategic financial planning.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure accuracy of the general ledger and perform reconciliations of bank accounts, balance sheets, and intercompany transactions.Manage month-end and year-end close processes.Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.Maintain compliance with applicable financial regulations and internal controls.Coordinate with external auditors for audits and financial reviews.Review and process vendor payments and tax filings Preparing and filing of Tax Returns : GSTR1 and 3B, TDS and TCS Quarterly returns.Provide financial insights to support decision-making by management.Maintain documentation and support schedules for all financial reports. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA Inter / MBA Finance preferred; CA qualified is a plus).4+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.Solid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP systems.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a manufacturing / service / tech environment.Knowledge of Indian taxation laws and statutory compliance.Exposure to automation tools or financial data visualization tools is a plus. Equal Opportunity Employer:Magma is an equal-opportunity employer.
