The competencies offered include analytics, digital, user experience, mobile technology, infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and open innovation.The OpportunityWe’re looking for incumbents who is responsible for the timeliness and quality of the work as per Project requirements for our FAAS team and possess strong accounting knowledge under IFRS/US GAAP. The role requires prior experience and knowledge of leading period end close, financial reporting activities.Your Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of booksFinancial close and consolidationProcess journal entries, allocations, period end adjustmentsReconcile GL accounts, perform consolidation and process elimination, post and reconcile intercompany transactionsPerform pre close activitiesPerform fixed assets and capital project accountingProcess and record fixed asset adjustments, enhancements, revaluations and transfersProcess and record fixed asset maintenance and repair expensesCalculate and record depreciation expenseCreate project account codesMonitor and track capital projects and budget spendingClose / Capitalize projectsEnsure adherence and meeting the KPIs and SLA and escalation management if anyLeading a team of 6-10 team members including engagement PMO activitiesReceive direction from the Senior Manager and leadershipMaintain effective coordination with multiple stakeholdersDetailed review of work performed by team membersVariance Reporting & Analytical Review and provide necessary commentaryBuild the necessary documents like SOPs and other end user training materialsUse the available guidance’s on USGAAP/IFRS for providing technical support, as and when requiredEnsure quality in delivering client service by directing daily progress of fieldworkSupporting the development and management of the relationships with external and internal (EY) clientsSupport Senior Managers in business development activitiesEngaged in hiring of team members, structured learning path and operations mentor for the teamFollow through on client requests in a timely fashion, and manage expectations regarding the timing ofdeliverables and reportsDemonstrate a good understanding of accounting concepts; stay informed of professional standards and firm policies (e.g., guidelines of the EY FAAS Policy Manual); and effectively apply this knowledge to moderately difficult and/or complex client situationEnsure quality in delivering client service by directing daily progress of fieldwork, informing Supervisors of engagement statusEngaged in hiring of team members, structured learning path and operations mentor for the teamSupport Senior Managers in Business development activitiesFollow through on client requests in a timely fashion, and manage expectations regarding the timing ofdeliverables and reportsDemonstrate a good understanding of accounting concepts; stay informed of professional standards and firm policies (e.g., guidelines of the EY FAAS Policy Manual); and effectively apply this knowledge to moderately difficult and/or complex client situationSkills And Attributes For SuccessStrong knowledge of IFRS / US GAAP, UK GAAPExtensive experience in relation to the following services/solutions (at least three):Business unit /Entity level reportingRecord to reportTechnical accounting research and advisoryConsolidation and compilation supportFinancial statement close process supportStrong knowledge of Lease accountingAbility and comfort level in researching client inquires and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologiesScope of working under different ERP packages like SAPIdeally, you’ll also SAP S4/Hana public or private cloud understandingProficiency in MS – Excel, MS – Office.Knowledge on any Data analytics/visualisation tools will be additional advantage.Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice, as necessaryStrong communication, Interpersonal, Analytical Skills & highly proactive in approachWhat We Look ForCA, ACCA (UK), CPA, or Regular MBA from a reputed institute7-12 years relevant experience including experience in Entity/BU reporting, Financial statement close process support and MIS reportingWhat We Offer YouAt EY, we’ll develop you with future-focused skills and equip you with world-class experiences.
