- Statutory accounts, audit, direct/indirect tax; transfer pricing on cross-border and related-party flows
- Manage tax: GST, TCS, direct-tax and any EV incentives (e.g., state subsidies)
- Prepare and own the monthly financial MIS, capturing all key financial, operational, commercial, cash-flow, working-capital, covenant, and deployment-level performance parameters, with clear variance analysis and actionable management insights
- Develop and maintain scalable reporting structures, including the chart of accounts, GL mappings, cost and profit centres, project / SPV codes, and reporting hierarchies, to enable consistent and efficient management reporting
- Partner with IT and business teams to design and implement automated digital reporting tools and dashboards through Power BI, integrating finance, operations, telematics, and contract data with appropriate data controls
- Single source of truth for management / board reporting
***2. Asset & structured finance / treasury***
- Structure and close deployment financing, including building an IRR case per deal
- Set up and administer SPVs; manage covenants, DSCR, and security / guarantee obligations
- Own cash-flow and working-capital management, including rolling short- and medium-term forecasts, receivables and payable planning, liquidity monitoring, funding-gap identification, lender and lessor relationships, and disciplined drawdowns and repayments
- Own payments and disbursements across HoldCo and SPVs:
- OEMs: advances, milestone and delivery payments for trucks, chargers and batteries etc.
- Vendors: O&M, charging / energy, insurance, drivers / manpower, and other opex payables
- Banks / lenders: EMIs, interest, lease rentals, fees, and DSRA top-ups, with zero missed debt-service dates
- Revenue & receivables:
- Customer invoicing for MGT contracts. Bill accurately and on time against trip, telematics and contract data.
- Periodic MGT shortfall / excess true-ups and billing of penalties, LDs and escalations under contract terms
- Collections ownership: ageing, follow-up and escalation, and disputes resolved with customers and ops
- Revenue recognition and recording of unbilled / accrued revenue at month-end
- Maintain a rolling payment calendar tied to the cash-flow forecast. Prioritise and sequence payments against available liquidity and drawdowns.
***3. Commercial finance / FP&A***
- Unit economics per truck, route, and deployment; contract pricing and bid support (PTPM, lease terms, redeployment sensitivity)
- Track project performance budget vs. actuals at deployment / SPV level, monthly, against the deal underwriting case
- Explain variances against plan utilisation, energy / charging cost, uptime, O&M, and financing cost and drive corrective action
- Maintain a project-performance dashboard tying actual IRR and margins back to the sanctioned model
- Deployment-level budgeting and P&L; challenge assumptions before capital is committed
- Financial review of customer contracts – flag MGT / offtake ambiguities before signature
***4. Controls, risk & compliance***
- Design and enforce internal controls and approval workflows fit for a scaling fleet
- Vendor master hygiene and TDS / GST compliance on payments. Keep monthly reconciliations of vendor, OEM and lender ledgers.
***5. Financing & stakeholder support***
- Build data rooms, models, and diligence packs for securing financing (e.g., banks, NBFCs)
