Manager - Finance & Accounts

**Roles and Responsibilities** **1. Tax Compliance (TDS & Direct Tax)** - Accurately calculate monthly TDS liabilities on various payments (e.g., rent, professional fees, contractors). - Ensure timely monthly deposit of TDS amounts. - Prepare, validate, and file quarterly TDS returns (Form 26Q, 27Q) - Return revision as per requirement - Generate and issue TDS certificates (Form 16A) to vendors within timelines. - Stay updated with statutory changes in Direct Taxation and ensure organization-wide compliance. **2. Reconciliations & Ledger Management** - Perform routine Bank Reconciliations (BRS) to ensure accurate cash flow tracking. - Conduct periodic Vendor Reconciliations, matching internal books with vendor statements, and resolving disputes or ledger mismatches seamlessly. - Review and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity. **3. Day-to-Day Accounting & Calculations** - Oversee daily accounting entries, ensuring appropriate ledger heads and cost center allocations. - Assist the senior finance team during monthly/quarterly closing of books and external statutory audits. **Required Skills & Qualifications** **Technical Skills:** - Advanced MS Excel: Must be highly proficient with advanced formulas (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Index-Match, Pivot Tables, IF/IFERROR functions). - Accounting Software: Hands-on experience working with ERP software like Tally Prime, SAP, or Oracle is highly preferred. - Tax Domain Knowledge: Clear conceptual clarity on Indian Income Tax laws (specifically TDS sections, limits, and rates). **Soft Skills & Behavioral Attributes:** - Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data entry and mathematical calculations. - Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills - Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict statutory government deadlines without supervision.
