This position serves a critical finance role in accounting & controlling activities of select Entities.The opportunityThe primary responsibility will be overseeing the month-end close, accruals, Audits, intercompany reconciliations, Schedules and related reporting requirement for India entities. You will work closely with other members of the Finance and accounting teams (India and Overseas) and provides accurate and timely information for month-end close. You will also be responsible to liaise and drive the month-end closure by interacting with various stakeholders (India and Overseas) to provide timely and qualitative inputsYour Key ResponsibilitiesPlan month-end/ Year- End closeDrive quality month-end process with agreed timelinesReview of Trial balance, Schedules and Financials (P&L and Balance Sheet) for pre-month close and provide inputs for necessary accounting entriesMonitoring the fixed assets register along with all key fields such as asset classes, life, depreciation forecastInteract with other Finance stakeholders to ensure month-end schedules are adhered to and necessary entries passed before the cut-offInteract with Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis team to provide the month-end reports in the agreed template and formatPreparing financial statements, audit schedules, reconciliation of GL with other supporting details, intercompany/inter-unit reconciliation.Handling of Statutory Audit/IFRS Audit and Tax Audits of entities.Skills And Attributes For SuccessGood understanding of Indian GAAP and IFRSWorking in multinational environment with different time zonesHigh accuracy and on time deliverySuccinct and structured oral and written communications skillsTo qualify for the role, you must haveChartered Accountant with 5-6 years of post-qualification experienceStrong experience in financial statements preparation and notes to accountsExpertise in MS Excel, PowerPoint and handling large amount of data sets and tasksPositive attitude and dependable team playerStrong written and oral communication skillsIdeally, you’ll also haveExposure to SAP ERPAn eye for efficiency and process improvementsPlanning skills and ability to prioritize the workloadAttention to details and sense of ownershipAbility to stretch in the busy period for high quality and on time deliveryWhat We Look ForWorking in a team of experts with deep domain knowledgeOpportunity to work in fast paced multinational environmentPositive attitude and dependable team playerWhat We OfferEY Global Delivery Services (GDS) is a dynamic and truly global delivery network.
